You want to support your child but aren't sure what strategies actually work.
Daily routines and transitions feel stressful or impossible.
You feel like you're constantly on edge or walking on eggshells.
You sometimes feel powerless to influence your child's behavior.
Imagine how it could feel…
To respond to your child’s challenges with a clear, evidence-based plan instead of uncertainty.
To feel more confident and effective in your parenting, even during difficult moments.
To see meaningful, lasting change as your responses become more consistent and informed.
My Approach
My work is data-driven and grounded in evidence-based treatments. I approach therapy as a collaborative process in which parents are the primary agents of change. Parents bring deep knowledge of their child and family, while I bring clinical expertise and research-supported frameworks. Together, we use data, observation, and ongoing feedback to guide decisions, adjust strategies, and support meaningful, lasting change.

PCIT
Parent–Child Interaction Therapy
PCIT is an evidence-based, parent-child therapy for children ages 2–7 with disruptive behaviors, ADHD, or oppositional challenges. Children participate alongside their parents while a clinician provides real-time coaching, guiding parents to balance warmth and connection with clear, consistent limits. Sessions are typically held weekly and last a minimum of 3 months and up to 1 year and are designed to help families build lasting skills, stronger relationships, and more positive interactions.
SPACE
Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions
SPACE is a parent-only, evidence-based approach for children and teens with anxiety, OCD, or related challenges. Parents learn to change how they respond to their child’s anxiety, rather than trying to make their child act differently. This includes responding supportively during anxious moments and reducing accommodations that keep anxiety going. Children do not attend sessions. Sessions are typically held weekly and last between 3 and 6 months to help parents guide their child toward greater confidence, independence, and resilience.
FBT
Family-Based Treatment & Behavioral Feeding Therapy
Family Based Treatment (FBT) is an evidence-based approach for children and adolescents ages 12+ struggling with eating disorders (and ages 6+ for ARFID), empowering caregivers to lead re-feeding efforts at home. For very young children under 6 years of age—with or without developmental delays—experiencing extreme picky eating, behavioral feeding therapy may be recommended instead, as FBT is not evidence-based for this age group. Weekly PCP visits may be required to ensure that outpatient treatment is safe.

A Letter From the Founder
Megan Ruiz Fischer, PsyD
Dear Prospective Families,
Welcome to Parent Path Center. As a licensed clinical psychologist, my practice is rooted in a simple truth: parents are the most powerful agents of change in a child's life.
Whether you are navigating early childhood behavior challenges, anxiety, or an eating disorder, you don't have to figure it out alone.
With specialized clinical training from top children's hospitals and academic medical centers, I partner directly with caregivers using evidence-based, live-coached therapies. My goal is to equip you with practical tools and unwavering support so you feel fully confident guiding your child’s healing, growth, and well-being.
